**Description**

**O'Neal Steel is currently seeking two Customer Service Representatives to assist our Sales Department at our Lafayette, LA facility.**

The Customer Service Representative performs assigned tasks to assist in the overall sales effort of the District or Region. As directed by sales or inventory management, obtains local buy-out materials from approved suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.

**Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To:**

* Analyze quotations received, select or recommend suppliers with whom orders are to be placed.

* Locate fill-in inventory from local suppliers to meet urgent requirements.

* Key quotations and correspondence as directed by sales representatives.

* Assist in the preparation of reports and recording keeping regarding the sales function.

* Assist sales representatives in expediting and follow?up of orders.

* Assist with incoming customer calls by directing them to the appropriate individual or department needed to resolve problems or complaints.

* Assist with outgoing customer calls as directed by sales representatives.

* Provide support to the sales staff in its effort to give customers the best possible quality and service.

**Required Skills**: To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills. Possession of these skills is a prerequisite for employment..

* Special Skills (above average skill required) : organized, detail oriented, ability to work with little supervision, handling outside contacts, communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills, motivation, coping with difficulties and emergencies.

* Additional Skills: must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

**Education:** Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Administration, or pursuing such a degree. Non-degree candidates with experience (2 or more years) may be considered.
